Book Review: Iris and the Dragonflies by Rosemary Danielis

I haven't been able to actually sit down and read an entire book in quite some time. Recently I was given the chance to review "Iris and the Dragonflies," by Rosemary Danielis. For starters....lets just say my kindle went everywhere with me until I was finished reading it. I absolutely loved this book....not to mention that I adore dragonflies!

Iris is an eleven-year old girl who can communicate with dragonflies. Other than her "special ability," she is your typical middle-school aged girl who deals with the everyday battles of school, family and friends. While on summer vacation, Iris and her family take a trip to Ireland to visit her grandmother. During her trip to Ireland she discovers a secret about her family that later opens up a whole new meaning of Iris's existence and what her destiny has in store for her.

Iris is one amazing character and I think that everyone can relate to her in some way. She's down to earth, strong, passionate, caring and even a little feisty at times. But, she never gives up or stops following her dreams. Iris's love for nature is something that I hope everyone takes to the heart and carries with them forever. I believe we all have a little part of Iris in us somehow!

Kudos to Rosemary Danielis! Iris and the Dragonflies was such an amazing book and I cannot wait to read more from you!
